Business Administration Apprentice

 We are looking for an Apprentice Business Administrator to join our company who will learn on the job and progress through a training program supported by the Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship route. Our Company

We are RAW Insurance Brokers, a small independent commercial Insurance Brokers in Cumbria, we employ 6 members of staff across our 2 offices: one in Carlisle and the other in Kendal. We began trading 4 years ago and have grown from strength to strength. Our moto is "Insurance doesn't have to be boring!" We look after our staff and customers alike and offer a friendly service for our clients primarily in the agricultural and construction industry.We adopt a very casual and modern culture and staff have the use of our chillout area for breaks which includes a Pool table, TV with Netflix, Coffee bar area. There is also a small onsite gym with showers for those interested in fitness.

The role

The position of Apprentice Business Administrator will be offered on a permanent basis 9 to 5pm and is based at Kingmoor Business Park in Carlisle which is on a popular regular bus route. There is also free parking for car drivers.

For the majority of the job you will be office based (3-4 days a week) where you will support the Managers following a period of on the job training with the following;

• Taking inbound phones from client and dealing with queries effectively
• Dealing with changes to existing policies such as change of address, small policies changes via the telephone
• Speaking to various insurers to chase paperwork regarding policy changes
• Sending letters and documents to clients related to policies
• General office administration using word, outlook and excel

For at least 1 day a week you will get the opportunity to shadow our Account Executives to visit clients to learn more about our industry. In time, you can progress to an Account Handler /Small Business Unit Manager dealing with small local clients' accounts.
